Pep & I were invited to Merrywood for a whole hog roast.

They named the guest of honor "W".

Adjusting W. Aaron had to add coals about 11,000 times.

The troika of cooks consult each other.

The cracklins were delicious. After we removed them, the succulent pork was ready for carving.

W was excellent! I nibbled on his tenderloin.

About 30 people showed up for the party. Everyone brought a potluck side dish. --------------> --------------> --------------> Pep brought his award winning salsa and some dipping sauces. My favorite sauce came from Prissy Polly's in Kernersville, NC. The meal was incredible.

Anne brought a wonderful dilled potato salad, Alix brought homemade foccachia, Billie brought a fresh strawberry and mango salsa. --------------> --------------> --------------> There were cheeses, smoked roasted chicken, a Mexican salad with homemade guacamole and black olives, and loads of other dishes I didn't even sample. --------------> --------------> --------------> After dinner we had homemade vanilla ice cream on the porch and watched Dave set off fireworks.

It was ALL good!
